Truly Grateful with Paper Players PP213 Color Challenge

Truly Grateful PP213

I have to tell you, deciding to enter challenges is proving to be a really good thing! The inspiration is invaluable, especially when I am constantly designing cards for my stamp camps!

This card was inspired by the Paper Players Color Challenge #213. We made this card last night at my Seasonal Cards Stamp Camp. I really like the how clean the card is and the detail created in the inking of the stamps.

The tree image was inked using daubers in Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke and Blackberry Bliss. I am really enjoying the results of this technique, having also used it on my last fall inspired card, which you can see HERE.

Be sure to ‘huff’ on the inked stamp when using this technique, to remoisten the ink before stamping the image.

I also used the same technique on the oak leaves, using Baked Brown Sugar and Cajun Craze. Fussy cut out and taped down.

Stamped the sentiment and added a pearl colored with the darkest Stampin’ Blendabiltiies marker from the Pumpkin Pie collection, I think the color ties in really well. The very vanilla layer is popped up with LOTS of dimensionals. I wanted to be sure that the layer ‘held up’, particularly around the window.

I am really pleased with how this card turned out, perfect for sharing at Thanksgiving!
