Good Neighbor Day

Good Neighbor Day

Today, I had planned on sharing a fall card that I designed, and made for a recent class, only to find that I didn’t take any photos!! Tomorrow!

So here we are, with the card that I designed inspired by National Neighbor Day, which, if you didn’t know, is celebrated on September 10, so you have time!

As you can see, my focus was on a new home card. Stampin’ Up! now has two great stamp sets which would be ideal for such a card, the new set from the Holiday Catalog called Holiday Home, with coordinating framelit dies, a must have! and then there is the hostess set Life’s Adventures, which is super fun, and the set that I used here for the house. Earn hostess dollars for orders over $150.00, or host an in-home party!

The sentiment comes from the photopolymer set Bravo. Couple of things to remember when using photopolymer, stamp on some kind of cushion, as unlike the red rubber stamps, there is no built in ‘cushion’ on these when you stamp, and in order to gain a clean stamped image you need that. I usually stamp on my Stampin’ Piercing Mat when using photopolymer. Also, consider curing your sentiments, as I have done here!

On this card, I had a lot of cut out pieces, both punches and framelits. I particularly like my picket fence and grass, both from the Finishing Touches Edgelits.

I think that this is a super fun, clean card, that achieves the sentiment of congratulation in your new home!
