A Day to Remember

A Day to Remember

This is certainly that, a day to remember, with this being my first blog posting that is actually being sent out to you via email – I hope! It’s a serious learning curve, and there is so much more for me to learn, bear with me!

I wanted to share this card with you, we made it at a recent stamp camp. For me, this is one of those cards that I really enjoy looking at, maybe it’s the colors, I am not sure, maybe the flowers, it just makes me smile…. I have to admit, I wasn’t taken with the 2013-2015 in colors until this year, when I finally decided to give them a try, they have grown on me!

A Day to Remember

There were a number of stages to this card, first the Pistachio Pudding ink splatters from Gorgeous Grunge (a stamp set I would not be without), next the application of Baked Brown Sugar, with a dauber, to the raised side of the Honeycomb embossing folder – stamped onto the Whisper White card stock, clean off the embossing folder and run it through the Texture Boutique Machine! wow, that was a lot, but so worth the effect.

A Day to Remember

Stamp and punch a few flower, add some Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker colored rhinestones, a few butterflies with pearls, and some Baked Brown Sugar thick bakers twine, and you’ve got it! Oh, don’t forget the all important sentiment from the stamp set Project Life Remember This. I have to say that the sentiments in this set are perfect for so many occasions, really unique!

Enjoy your Sunday, and I hope that you find time for some stamping!
